The curriculum is well developed and covers just about everything. I especially love the 3 rolling starts. It’s a critical part of the program and gives participants practice/experience that makes a difference.
The combination of classroom and on-the-water instruction. The classroom portion should not be overlooked – I would have been happy to spend more time on video reviews and more classroom concepts.
The books are incredible! They’re both so content rich. I know I’ll be referring to them for years to come.
Wonderful experience that I would recommend for any sailor wanting instruction in boat handling, boat speed, and racing.
I had a great coach – very articulate and a good teacher. And the class/lecture time was well balanced, thoughtful and a good summary of the on the water sailing.
On the water hands on repetition and attention to each individual’s stated goals. Also, very good instruction on spotting wind shifts and direction.
I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge and patience and encouragement of the coaches!
I thought I knew how to sail PHRF boats. I was wrong. I learned more in one week than I have in the last 40 years.
Great refresher of good racing practices and tactics. Very beneficial for skipper and crew work integration and timing.
For those in a more competitive and advanced nature, the. coach on the boat allows for the experience to be tailored and advanced.
