Ahoy sailors, racers, and lifelong learners—welcome to the all-new North U website!

After months of design, development, and a few metaphorical tacks and gybes, we’re thrilled to launch a platform that reflects what North U has always stood for: turning sailors into racers, and racers into champions.

What’s New at NorthU.com

The new North U website is built to make your learning smoother, faster, and more fun. Here’s what’s aboard:

  • Streamlined Course Navigation: Quickly find clinics, webinars, and on-the-water programs that fit your sailing goals. Whether you’re mastering trim, tactics, or teamwork, you’ll get there faster.
  • Enhanced Event Pages: Each course now includes detailed descriptions, instructor bios, and easy registration links—so you’ll know exactly what you’re signing up for.
  • Robust Search and Filtering: Looking for a specific topic, location, or instructor? Our improved search tools get you there in a few clicks.
  • Integrated Resources: Access North U books, videos, and coaching materials directly from the site. The learning doesn’t stop when you step off the boat.
  • Optimized for All Devices: Whether you’re at the dock, on the couch, or halfway across the ocean, NorthU.com now looks and works beautifully everywhere.

Thanks to the Crew Behind the Scenes

A great website, like a well-sailed race, is the product of a strong crew and steady leadership:

  • Bill Gladstone, North U’s founding Director, deserves our deepest thanks. For decades, Bill built the foundation—content, curriculum, and community—that defines North U today. His work set the standard for performance sailing education around the world.
  • Christy McFerren, our Chief Marketing Officer, and Phaedra LeMay, our Marketing Coordinator, deserve a standing ovation for steering this project from concept to launch. Their creativity, patience, and attention to detail ensured that the new site doesn’t just work—it shines.
  • Nik Vale, Chief Technology Officer, our web wizard, keeps the backend running smoother than a freshly faired hull. His tireless development work ensures every page loads fast, every registration flows cleanly, and every sailor finds their way aboard.
  • And finally, American Sailing, whose ongoing support is allowing North U to thrive. North U is – POWERED BY AMERICAN SAILING. Together, we ARE helping sailors become racers, racers become champions, and champions become lifelong learners.

The Course Ahead

The new North U website is more than a redesign—it’s a recommitment to our mission: to make racing knowledge accessible, engaging, and downright fun. Explore upcoming programs, dive into our educational library, and join the next wave of sailors sharpening their skills.

Welcome aboard the new NorthU.com—your performance sailing journey just got an upgrade.

Fair winds,

The North U Team
